The cloud has definitely been crucial during widespread lockdowns that forced many businesses to adjust their operations to remote working requirements. Experts predict the cloud computing market is set for a 12.5% growth in 2021 to $295 billion, and that over $3.9 trillion in IT spending will be affected by cloud adoption by the year 2022. This growth is as much down to the confidence people had in the cloud as it is the necessity caused by COVID-19 and widespread lockdowns. Cloud performance was extremely successful, with only 15% of respondents struggling to enable communication between colleagues.
