Eine Anleihe über CHF 4Mia für diese Akquisition konnte Ende Mai 2024 frühzeitig abgeschlossen werden. Swisscom wird in Italien ihre Tochterfirma Fastweb mit Vodafone Italien fusionieren und zur Nummer 2 in Italien aufsteigen. Kurzfristig scheint dieser Kauf erfolgversprechend zu sein.
