EXA Infrastructure Strengthens Nordic Digital Ecosystem with Finland Expansion

Our partners at EXA Infrastructure have made a significant move in their network growth strategy, expanding their dense wavelength-division multiplexing (DWDM) backbone to connect Helsinki, Finland, directly to Stockholm. This step enhances EXA’s presence in the Nordic region, which is increasingly emerging as a central hub for digital infrastructure, driven by green energy and growing data center investments.

With the Finnish market forecasted to grow at a 32% CAGR over the next five years, EXA’s new Helsinki connection directly supports the rising demand for scalable, diverse connectivity solutions in the region. This expansion follows EXA’s strategic collaboration with Bulk Infrastructure on the Havfrue Transatlantic system, which links North America to Norway and Denmark, and now extends to Finland—providing an efficient transatlantic route that bypasses the highly congested FLAP markets.

EXA’s expansion reflects the company’s commitment to resilient, high-capacity networks, supporting the evolving needs of hyperscale cloud services, multi-tenant data centers, and enterprises across Europe and North America.
